Nancy A. Walker PhD Bio

I hold a PhD in Psychology with a Specialization in General Psychology, an MS in Psychology with a Specialization in Educational Psychology and an Emphasis in Developmental Psychology, a BS in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a Concentration in Psychology, and an Elementary Education Teaching Certification with a Minor in Spanish Education.

I have extensive experience within upper academia, having taught within all levels of higher education. My experience as a professor, combined with my background in designing courses and curriculums for students and faculty, has allowed me to ascertain a distinct skill set. I teach research methods courses at the Doctoral level, supervise and manage Chairs and Methodologists, engage in faculty development and training, and act as a Content Expert for General Psychology and Qualitative Methodology. Additionally, I hold various other roles, including Academic Quality Reviewer (AQR), Dean's Read, Chair, and Methodologist at various institutions. I additionally teach undergraduate and graduate courses in psychology, education, and organizational leadership.

My areas of expertise include qualitative research and methodology, developmental/educational psychology, psychotherapy, non-profit leadership, distance education, and neuro-developmental education. I have founded scholar-practitioner background in neuro-psychology clinical work, lifespan psychotherapy work, and Christian counseling. My specialization areas are Lifespan Development, Autism, and Traumatic Brain Injury. I also have a background in brick and mortar elementary - high school education with school psychology implementation.

My applied background includes teaching brick and mortar PreK-12, school counseling, developmental counseling, psychotherapy and clinical counseling, Traumatic brain injury testing and assessment, autism support, developmental coaching, academic coaching, career counseling, and starting an after-school non-profit.

I am a member of the American Psychological Association, American Association of Christian Counselors, International Christian Coaching Association, Division of Qualitative Psychology: APA.

As a life-long learner, I am passionate about helping others gain and apply knowledge so that they can continue to grow and develop, in order to reach individual milestones and success.
